Privacy Policy — last updated August 10, 2026
Violearn ("the app") is an independently developed app ("we", "the developer"). This policy explains what information the app handles and how.
We never ask for your name, email address or any other identifying detail. Violearn has no accounts and no sign-in, and we operate no servers of our own. Your practice history — scores, streaks, per-note accuracy, lesson progress, practice sessions and your instrument calibration — is stored only on your device and is never transmitted to us. We do use Google services for analytics, crash reporting and advertising, described below.
The Tuner feature uses your device's microphone to detect the pitch of the note you are playing. Audio is analyzed in real time on your device only. It is never recorded, stored, or transmitted anywhere.
Violearn shows banner ads served by Google AdMob. We show non-personalized ads and do not use Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework to track you across apps. To serve and measure ads and to prevent fraud, Google may collect certain data from your device, such as a device identifier, coarse general location derived from IP address, and ad interaction data (e.g., which ads were shown). This data is not linked to your identity by us.
For details on how Google uses this data, see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services and the Google Privacy Policy.
Violearn uses Google Firebase Crashlytics to report crashes and Google Firebase Analytics to understand which parts of the app get used. These report events such as starting a practice session, opening the tuner or completing a lesson, along with technical information about your device and app version. They never receive your name or contact details, and they never receive audio.
Analytics is enabled only in copies downloaded from the App Store; builds used for testing report nothing. Crash reports are collected in all versions.
Aggregated, anonymous crash and performance data may also be collected by the Google Mobile Ads SDK to keep the app and ads functioning correctly.
Violearn offers an optional paid subscription. Purchases are handled entirely by Apple: we never see or receive your payment details. We are told only whether an active subscription exists on your device, which is what unlocks the paid features. Billing, refunds and cancellation are managed through your Apple Account.
Violearn does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. Ads are always served in non-personalized mode.
All app data — practice history, settings and your instrument calibration — lives on your device. Deleting the app deletes all of it. Analytics and crash data held by Google can be requested for deletion by contacting us at the address below.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new "last updated" date.
